In the Zone is being planned around a delegate base of around 500 people.

A Gala Dinner with marquee speaker is being designed around a projected attendance of around 1000 people.

The target audience includes:

Government

  • Elected members, agency heads and senior bureaucrats in the Western Australian (local and State) and Australian governments.
  • Elected members, agency heads and senior bureaucrats from nations In the Zone – India, China, Japan, Russia, South Korea, South East Asia – with a particular focus on finance, climate change, environment, health, resources and technology.
  • Representatives from the top universities in the world (and in our time zone).

Academia

  • Notable academics (domestic and international) with a research focus on international affairs and the Asian region.

The Private Sector

  • Representatives from major Western Australian and Australian companies, especially those with trade and other links In the Zone.
  • Representatives from companies In the Zone with links to Australia and Western Australia.

The Not-for-Profit Sector

  • Representatives from independent research and analysis agencies and think tanks, especially those focussed on environmental, global health and development and resources issues.

UWA Alumni

  • Local and internationally-based UWA alumni will be invited to participate in the Conference.
