The University of Western Australia has developed In the Zone as the State’s premier forum for dialogue between the public, private and academic sectors on trans-national issues of common significance to our international region.

Our inaugural conference in 2009 enjoyed a diverse range of respected national and international speakers, and great success in delivering a high-level foreign policy dialogue to the nation’s leading economy.

Our second event in March 2011 constituted an invitation-only forum for the State’s top 100 business leaders to discuss some of the key international public-policy challenges and opportunities facing Western Australia.

In 2012 UWA will host the next In the Zone conference

We look forward to working with our sponsors and key stakeholders to develop In the Zone as a platform for further dialogue that optimises Western Australia’s increasingly strategic place on the world stage and in the zone.

The conference will be designed to help thought leaders from the private and public sectors engage in internationally oriented public policy debate, and build their own global networks to assist in a more strategic response to global challenges.
